Born in Kiama, NSW, Alison is the mother of four sons and one daughter, ranging in age from 21 to nine years. She has been married to Warwick for 27 years and has attended the Lighthouse Christian Centre for over 30 years. In 1980 she left her career as a teacher to raise her family. In 1990, after experiencing the ups and downs of business life, the Marsh family launched out into full time community work, using music to bring positive change. This charitable work of helping people became known as Australian Heart Ministries. Since then Alison has packed and unpacked the tour bus over and over again in their tours and teaching seminars all over the nation and around the world. Each of the seven members of the Marsh family plays a vital role in 'the band'. Alison's role is to sing, play keyboard and be 'mum' whether on the road, or back-to-base in Wollongong. The family has travelled extensively throughout Australia and toured in over ten nations. Alison has played and sung on over eight albums and appeared on several TV programs produced by Australian Heart Productions.

Alison has a heart for mothers and their families all over the world. Having recently co-founded the Fatherhood Foundation with Warwick, she desires to mentor other mums and see them rise to their high calling as wives and mothers, raising a generation of whole and effective young people fully able to take the next generation to a higher level of love and commitment. Every successful father needs a successful wife and mother to form the power base for the extended family. Every child needs a father and a mother, and Alison believes that being a mother is an exciting and rewarding profession.

A member of Toastmasters International who has achieved her Silver Award, she has a passion to encourage other women to undergird their families with strength. This strength comes through a deep love for God, support and encouragement for husbands and a great love and respect for children.
