In Ezekiel 22:30 the scripture says that 'God looked for a man among them who should build up the wall and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it . . . '. The Fatherhood Foundation, in partnership with Mensprayer.com, is calling men to come and pray in Parliament House in Canberra to stand in the gap for our nation on Monday and Tuesday, 18th & 19th August 2003.

John Comino, organiser of the Men's Prayer Summit, says, "The prayer walls of our nation have been broken down and we need to rebuild them. The enemy has caused destruction in our families, our cities and our nation. God is looking for praying men who are willing to stand in the gap and help build the walls of protection around our families, cities and nation".

The Mensprayer.com team are inviting key prayer leaders such as Brian Pickering of the Australian Prayer Network, Peter Walker, Australian Indigenous Ministries, best selling author, Col Stringer, and many others for a strategic time of worship, prayer and proclamation for our nation. The event is being hosted by Danna Vale, Minister for Veteran Affairs and features a Men's Prayer Summit Breakfast on Tuesday 19th August with Col Stringer speaking on 'Our Christian Heritage and the Anzac Spirit' with invitations to all of our parliamentarians to join us for breakfast in the Great Hall, Parliament House. The Fatherhood Foundation will be holding a smaller 'National Strategic Conference on Fatherhood', invitation only, simultaneously, with representatives from government, community, educational, church and private sectors meeting together in order to 'turn the tide of fatherlessness in Australia'.

Warwick Marsh, the founder of the Fatherhood Foundation, www.fathersonline.org, said, "The Fatherhood Foundation organised a Fathering Forum in February 2003, Parliament House, which generated strong interest from National, Liberal, Green and Labor Members of Parliament. Currently the Fatherhood Foundation is working on a 12 Point Policy Plan to turn the tide of fatherlessness in our nation which will be released shortly. The real foundation of change will be a heart change in men at the grass roots level, which only God can bring through prayer according to 2 Chronicles 7:14".

Mensprayer.com is working to organise the Men's Prayer Summit, 18-19 August 2003, to be held in the Parliamentary Theatrette, simultaneously as a strategic prayer initiative. The Men's Prayer Summit is a history making, stand alone event, open to all praying men, to bring to pass the words of Malachi 4:6 - 'turning the hearts of the fathers to the children and the hearts of the children to the fathers'.
